Project: Sandro Santantonio Design
Sandro Santantonio / Lorenzo Bortoluzzi / Andrea Cantù
The concept is based on the idea of processing stone as if it were a textile. Today Capitonné is a one-off piece, resulting from the work of skilled craftsmen, Made in Italy in every detail. Thanks to modern processing technologies, stone becomes ductile and moldable, perhaps even more so than wood. The slabs create a skin that changes in relation to the point of observation to create an intimate and light atmosphere. The result is a wall panel which reveals unexpected visual aspects and astonishing tactile qualities.
